Since April of 2009 Pam Hoffmann (Texas) has advanced two ranks to Key Coordinator, grew her first level Business Leaders by three, doubled her business group count and nearly doubled her business group volume. Check out her inspirational story of how Shaklee has provided her a lifestyle she loves.
I wasn’t looking for a business and did not see myself as a business person when friends Ada and Andre Rotkowietz (Coordinators, TX) introduced me to Shaklee. I was a teacher and actress and working freelance in theater. At the time, I had a five year old daughter Alison, and I had been in a constant state of exhaustion since just before she was born. I had been acting since high school, and during those stressful years of performing non-stop I had become worn down. But after using Shaklee products my energy improved and I felt better at 40 than I had in my 20’s.
My first month in Shaklee, I received a bonus check because I used so many products. After my own experience, I told some friends and I received a bonus check in my second month. Then my upline met with me and showed me how I could grow my Shaklee income to $100,000 a year.* I knew right then that I wanted to do just that. With the support of my husband Alan, I began my Shaklee business with the first goal to become a Director. It was September 1994 when I made that decision and I made Director by February of 1995 and had a first level by end of March of that same year. I earned the incentive trip the first year and have grown my income every year since.
My biggest challenge was being afraid of talking about the income opportunity, so I talked mostly about Shaklee products and my personal experience—even though I had dreams of making a six-figure income with Shaklee myself! But when Roger purchased Shaklee and brought his dynamic leadership with him, the light bulb came on for me. Once I embraced the concept that I could really help people make money and that Shaklee was a fabulous vehicle for people to have a better life, it became so much easier for me to share the entire Shaklee story with everyone.
I have been growing my business by coaching my team to identify their dream, and helping them keep a clear focus on it. I am able to use my training as a teacher to coach new builders and I use regular Team Meetings to help my group stay connected. We share what we’ve learned during the week, what we are excited about and what we want to be acknowledged for each week. I find the motivation comes from the group and team experience.
What I love most about my business is that it allowed me to be a stay at home Mom, and provided me with replacement income so I did not have to go back to work teaching full-time. Thanks to Shaklee, I have enjoyed the flexibility of being able to spend time with my daughter as she grew to adulthood. My family has also experienced better health and I am very grateful to Shaklee for that. Moreover, being a part of Shaklee has helped me grow and become a more confident and empowered person.
